Transducer
vs Buzzer
A SMD
Magnetic transducer differs from a buzzer. The difference
comes that a transducer needs external drive circuit,
while a buzzer has internal drive circuit inside. Usually
engineers drive transducer with external PWM signal.
But for those who can't use PWM, click
here to download an input signal generator circuit
with multi-vibrator for proper drive of transducer .
(BST-1295C is the only buzzer in above chart)
In case of the transducer, frequency in this chart means "rated frequency" at which the transducer has its maximum sound output. If applied frequency is lower/higher than the rated frequency, its sound will be smaller than one at 4k input.
In case of the buzzer with the internal circuit, frequency in this chart means "fixed output frequency" when DC input signal is applied.
